Hey guys.

So recently I was in a guitar lesson and my teacher and I started talking about writing and performing songs. As a lot of you guys know I struggle was confidence issues and one problem with performing songs is “What if I forget the words?” Everyone who has ever performed in front of people has probably had this fear, but how do we avoid it?

My guitar teacher gave me a suggestion which I really think could help. The idea is “You’re less likely to forget the words to a song if you wrote the song.” I honestly think that’s kind of a clever idea. Writing a song means you’re subconsciously learning the words before it’s even a full song, which I think is a really smart way of learning a song. But then there’s the issue of creativity – or more to the point, the fact I don’t have much.

So there’s a solution for that too, and it’s a very simple one. We all know that there are a million and one quote pages on basically every social media. Follow some of them, and find some quotes that express similar emotions to the ones you want in your song, whether they’re funny or sad or romantic, if you like them, or can relate to the message behind them, save them for later. So today I thought I’d share some of my favourite quotes with you guys. They aren’t going to have explanations behind why I like them, but if there’s some certain one you’d like to know why I like, let me know below. (They’re all numbered)
